Choir Director
The Choir Director is responsible for oversight of the music program for the traditional services at Wellspring and other special services as needed.
Accountability:
The Choir Director is a professional musician, responsible to the Senior Pastor and the Director of Worship.
Hours:
This position is part time, 5–10 hours per week (varies seasonally). Regular attendance on Sunday mornings and all rehearsals is expected.
Salary:
General Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train and conduct adult choral program.
- Recruit, train and conduct various instrumental groups.
- Select weekly anthems and seasonal special music.
- Other duties as assigned.
Specific Responsibilities:
Worship Services (Traditional)
- Recruit and train volunteers to sing in the church choir.
- Conduct adult choir and instrumental ensembles.
- Supervise intern(s) and scholarship singers.
- Recruit professional musicians and/or guests to enhance worship services.
- Work with the Senior Pastor and Director of Worship to select weekly anthems and seasonal special music that complement the overall worship themes.
- Assist with musical needs for special services, including weddings and funerals.
- Maintain an ongoing library of potential choral material for future reference and selection.
Communications
- Prepare articles for all church communications to keep the congregation informed about the activities of our traditional music ministries.
- Coordinate choir calendars with the church master calendar.
- Track active and inactive participants in the choir, and initiate follow-up for those who become inactive participants.
Administration
- Attend Staff meetings.
- Attend Worship Team meetings as needed.
- Attend Church Council meetings as needed.
- Maintain and enhance libraries for piano, choral, and vocal/ensemble music.
- Administer record keeping of service music and resources.
- Maintain accurate financial records as necessary and make program and equipment budget recommendations to the Director of Worship.
Professional Development
- Attend professional musician conferences and meetings as appropriate.
- Attend professional development and personal growth activities as schedule and budget permit.

Nursery Workers
Nursery workers are responsible for providing excellent care for the children and parents of Wellspring during Sunday morning worship and Sunday school, as well as for other events (as scheduled/needed).
Hours:
This position is part-time (3-5 hours/week)
Responsibilities:
Welcome children into the classroom when they arrive.
Provide support and assistance to parents when they arrive with their child.
Actively engage with children, setting up age-appropriate activities.
Provide physical, emotional, and intellectual support and stimulation to each child in care, as appropriate for the circumstances.
Ensure hourly diaper checks, for children who are not toilet-trained.
Attempt to calm children before alerting parents.
Contact parents if a child becomes sick or inconsolable.
Develop a relationship of trust and continuity with children and parents.
Performance Expectations:
Be punctual. Notify your supervisor in advance if you must be late.
Be reliable in your attendance. Notify the supervisor in advance if you must be absent.
Be polite, friendly, and courteous to others, including children, adults, and peers.
Check email at least weekly and respond to staff communications.
Never engage in the physical punishment/discipline of any child.
Complete required “Ministry Safe” training
Minimum Qualifications:

Basic understanding of children and their needs
Team player who operates in a collegial manner with other staff
Adaptive to a variety of situations
At least 18 years of age or older
Ability to lift 15-20 lbs
